Grandma's Snickerdoodles by Lisa H.


1 cup shortening
1 ½ cups sugar
2 eggs

Mix together.  Sift in dry ingredients:

2 ¾ cups flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt

Chill dough for at least an hour.  Preheat oven to 400 F.  Roll into small balls (or use a cookie scoop) and roll in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.  Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
